The system for counting large taxpayers in Ukraine has to be changed
This statement was announced last week by Yevhen Bambizov, Head of the Office of Large Taxpayers of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine. He stated that the regulations adopted to make the count today are entirely outdated and totally do not reflect the true situation in Ukraine.
As we informed, the State Fiscal Service approved the Register of Large Taxpayers for 2018 in the beginning of this month. It totaled up to 2500 companies overall. However, Mr. Bambizov clarified that the actual number of such companies is hardly over 900.
The core of future Registers should be comprised of enterprises that pay large portions of the value-added tax to Ukrainian Treasury. It is exactly the type of taxes that constitute the core element in the state budget structure.
