Auditors are capable to prevent business disruptions
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants has initiated a survey to determine the role of auditors in modern business. The survey, which involved 11,000 people, was conducted in 11 countries with the assistance of Chartered Accountants from Australia and New Zealand. As a result, following figures were obtained:
- 70% believe that the audit should be developed to prevent disruptions in the companies’ operations;
- 55% believe that auditors are the ones who are capable to prevent disruptions in the companies’ operations;
- 34% expect auditors to always detect and report any fraud.
